CARNIVAL 2018 Las Terrenas

Every year during the first weekend of March, Las Terrenas organizes its Carnival parade. This year, in combination with the national program “Dominicana Limpia”, the city hall chose the theme "Carnival and Recycling" for the manufacture rules of the floats and all the costumes of the participants.

Every team demonstrated incredible talents and an amazing creativity to respect the rules of the 3 "R": RECYCLE, REUSE and REDUCE. The French school team with the theme of Tutankarton "The time of the pharaohs" designed cardboard costumes, “The magic garden of the fairies” was made with recycled plastic bottles and the band of the Politecnico School was paper dressed, "Los papelones".

The open air concert of Chimbala ended this special carnival day.
